Settled in Winnipeg

September 17th, 2008

We are pretty much settled in now! Living so close to the airport is a bit noisy, but that is my only complaint so far.

Jenny has started school. The kids here are a bit more advanced…she now has to do long division in math, and has 4 years of french to make up for. But she is happy, and I’m sure she will do just fine. She has lots of friends and is always playing outside.

Winnipeg is beautiful! I haven’t even seen the whole city, but I am looking forward to seeing more.

Winnipeg

July 31st, 2008

We arrived in Winnipeg Mannitoba July 30 at around 5pm. We went to see the new house/pmq today. It is sooo small. After all Mike’s and Jenny’s toys are moved in there will be no room for anything else. The kitchen is tiny…(which is fine by me…less to clean!!) so tiny that there is no room for the fridge and big dining room table we have.

Jenny is excited and happy about it, so that makes everything ok for me :) She got to pick her room, and she picked the biggest room, lol. I tried to talk her into taking the next sized room, but she really wants that big one. I told her she has first pick, so that will be her room.

Here are some pictures from our trip. Canada goose

Travelling with Pets

July 10th, 2008

I guess there was a reason everyone is laughing at me when I say we are travelling with 4 animals … because it is impossible!! Now the plan is to board and ship 2 of them, and it looks like it will be Sandy and Max. Sparky would be too traumatized after 15 days, so she is staying with me. Since Sandy will be on antibiotics(he’s having dental surgery on the 15th), he should stay. Bits should come with us because there is no reason to leave him behind. Most hotels will allow us 2 cats.

1 week!

July 9th, 2008

One week until the packers come. I guess we have so much “stuff” they need to do a pre-pack the day before.

We might need another house for Jenny’s and Mike’s toys!

10 days and my oldest baby girl will be 18 years old!!

leaving dates

July 7th, 2008

We are leaving the house on the 17th, and leaving for New Brunswick on the 20th.

I have 3 days to spend with the girls!! I wish I had more, but I am still very excited.

Sandy’s new Carrier

July 6th, 2008

We bought a new medium sized cat  carrier for Sandy today. Sparky tried it out and liked it so much she had to sleep in it!

She still has her harness on because she spent the day at the beach…she was the only cat there.
